Me and my girls, September 2010   Niamh   Niamh, 08/12/2006 Niamh is a pure bred whippet from show lines. She was born on 13/10/2006 and was one of a litter of 8. Although a beautiful delicate little pup, she wasn't wanted for the show ring because she didn't have any "eye liner" - the pigment around her eyes was pink and not black. This is considered a fault in the ring, which was lucky for me as it meant that I could have her as a much loved pet.   She came to live with me at 8 weeks old and soon took over, as any diva would. She showed what a tough little madam she could be, belying her delicate build. At 6 months old her eye pigment came in and what a little stunner she turned out to be.   Niamh at 3 months old ...   ... and in pastels Nowadays Niamh is known as the diva, the princess (as in "The Princess and the Pea"), the delicate one. She has her own wardrobe of jumpers and coats and feels the cold tremendously. She has no spare body fat and her fur is very short, similar to the baize on a poole table. She loves to sunbathe providing the temperature is at least 25 degrees!
